This blog chronicles the process of migrating the collections data of Bryn Mawr College’s Art and Artifacts Collections to a new collections management system, EmbARK by Gallery Systems. This extensive, 18-month project is generously funded by the College’s Graduate Group in Archaeology, Classics and History of Art. Regular posts aim to keep the college community apprised of our progress as well as they serve as a record of the trials and tribulations of this monumental undertaking.
The Art and Artifacts Collections of Bryn Mawr College, developed through the contributions of alumnae, faculty and administration, and friends of the College, are an important resource for both the enrichment of classroom learning as well as original research by faculty, students, and other scholars.
